SPRING UPDATE

Well it's the middle of February, it's cold and I'm sitting here thinking of spring. Last year we started fishing around the middle of April at Wild Wings, it was a little cold but there were a lot of fish caught. Most of them were Jacks, around 18" to 20''long.

When we start in the spring we usually jig with a lead jig tipped with minnows, purple turned out to be a good color. As the water warms we move to Huron, around the middle of may. The fishing was great! We caught a lot of fish, and many of them were 4 pounds or better.

We are trolling now, the great thing about Huron this time of the year is that the fish are close and easy to get too. The fish have been staying around Huron, till the middle of July. We then have to start running further to catch them, but we still do!

In August and September the fish are usually located east from Vermilion to Lorain. This is the time of the year that we use crawlers and troll harness'es. In October they start working their way back, and then start feeding for winter. This is when the hogs are caught in front of the Huron river till it gets to cold to fish.

Our charters are priced low at $325.00 for a one to four person charter for up to 8 hours of fishing.
A minumium deposit of $100.00 is required up front, which will be applied to the total amount due.
